Our Services
Stellar Lume Studio provides web design, development, SEO optimization, website maintenance, and related digital services to businesses, primarily in Southern Maryland and surrounding areas.
Scope of Work
All projects begin with a defined scope of work outlined in a written proposal or contract. Any work requested beyond the agreed scope may be subject to additional fees and timeline adjustments.
Timelines
Project timelines are estimates based on prompt client communication and feedback. Delays caused by late approvals, missing content, or unresponsive communication may extend delivery dates without penalty to Stellar Lume Studio.
Revisions
Each project includes a set number of revision rounds as specified in the project agreement. Additional revisions beyond the allotted rounds will be billed at our standard hourly rate.
Client Responsibilities
To ensure a smooth project delivery, clients are responsible for:
Content & Assets
Providing all necessary content — including copy, images, logos, and brand assets — in a timely manner. Stellar Lume Studio is not responsible for project delays caused by missing or delayed client materials.
Accuracy of Information
Ensuring that all content and information submitted to us is accurate, lawful, and does not infringe on any third-party rights. You accept full responsibility for the content you provide.
Approvals
Reviewing and approving deliverables in a reasonable timeframe. Unanswered approval requests for 14 or more consecutive days may be treated as client acceptance of the submitted work.
Payment & Fees
All pricing is outlined in your project proposal or service agreement. Payment terms are as follows:
Deposits
A non-refundable deposit (typically 50% of the total project fee) is required before work begins. This secures your project start date on our schedule.
Final Payment
The remaining balance is due upon project completion, before final files or live site access are delivered. Stellar Lume Studio retains the right to withhold deliverables until payment is received in full.
Late Payments
Invoices unpaid beyond the agreed due date may incur a late fee of 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance. We reserve the right to pause or suspend ongoing work until overdue payments are resolved.
Intellectual Property
Client Ownership
Upon receipt of full payment, you receive full ownership rights to the final website design and deliverables created specifically for your project. This includes all custom graphics, layouts, and written content developed by Stellar Lume Studio on your behalf.
Studio Rights
Stellar Lume Studio retains the right to display completed work in our portfolio and use it for marketing and promotional purposes unless the client requests otherwise in writing prior to project completion.
Third-Party Assets
Any third-party assets used in your project (fonts, stock images, plugins, or frameworks) remain subject to their respective licenses. Responsibility for ongoing licensing fees for third-party tools falls to the client after project delivery.
Limitation of Liability
Stellar Lume Studio provides services on an "as-is" basis to the best of our professional ability. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services, including but not limited to lost profits, data loss, or business interruption.
Our total liability for any claim related to our services shall not exceed the total fees paid by the client for the specific project giving rise to the claim.
Termination
Either party may terminate a project engagement with written notice. In the event of client-initiated termination, the client forfeits the initial deposit and is responsible for payment of all work completed up to the termination date.
Stellar Lume Studio reserves the right to terminate services immediately, without refund, if a client engages in abusive behavior, requests unlawful content, or materially breaches these Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be resolved in the courts of Maryland, and both parties consent to jurisdiction in that venue.
Disclaimer of Warranties
While we strive to deliver high-quality work, Stellar Lume Studio makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the outcome of services, including specific business results, search engine rankings, or sales conversions. Results vary based on many factors outside our control.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The most current version will always be available on this page, identified by the "Last Updated" date at the top. Your continued use of our website or services constitutes acceptance of any revised Terms.
